| The WINDWORKER was tested in 1:20 scale model form. The structure had
equivalent dimensions of length (14metres), width (7metres), eaves height
(2.6metres), ridge height (3.6metres) and roof pitch at 12.5 degrees.
Front opening panels in the model simulated 20% dominant openings. The
shaded area on the diagram above represents the reduction of roof space
pressure or pressure relief with and without a WINDWORKER and the change
when dominant openings occur and change the internal pressure from NEGATIVE to POSITIVE. (It
must be noted that for VENTILATION, POSITIVE pressure is desirable
however in storms, cyclones and hurricanes the stabilisation of NEGATIVE pressure
should be maintained to prevent damage.) |
